Karnataka Tourism Looks Forward to Bring Major Structural Changes


Karnataka tourism is looking forward to usher some changes in terms of structure
to boost the tourism as said by additional chief secretary of tourism department of Karnataka, Arvind Jadhav   during a trade meeting heritage, wildlife, beaches and adventure should be a point of focal.
Another event was held at Goa and Delhi and the staging was done by G Sathyavathi, Director, Department of Tourism, Karnataka; Dr C D Dyavaiah, Managing Director, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation and P Anur Reddy, Managing Director, Jungle Lodges & Resorts, displaying various fact related with Karnataka an induction evident eight contractor from Karnataka representing hotels and tour operators.
He further added as the plan for last 10 to 15 years was focused on developing Karnataka as a frontrunner in terms of building automobiles which was successfully implemented and executed now after achieving that target a focus has been shifted on IT and as a result Bengaluru is now a leading It hub of India now the target is on tourism to boost an economic activity and to do that a structural changes are necessary which will enhance our tourism and as result of such dynamics Karnataka would be a second best holiday destination after Rajasthan and Kerala so to  accomplish our vision a team has been set up which has a strength of 25 members who will report back on October 30, 2013 and in report we have asked to point out 10key destination within Karnataka and after its submission we will work out to develop an enlisted destinations.

As our state has something for all and the tagline of our reference is 'One State Many Worlds' we will be working with travel guide to promote the same. We will be looking to endorse Experiential Tourism, Kappi Trail, Kenneth Anderson Trail, and Bear Trail, in the state. More, we are looking to develop information centres at tourist bus stops and railway stations to guarantee comfortable travel. Further, we are looking at tapping weekend travellers from Mumbai and Pune as well."   
We will offer resources to develop communications in the state. We will plan a New Tourism strategy for 2014," Sathyavathi stated.
